Endodontics
Endodontics (also known as “canal treatment” or “nerve removal”) is one of the basic branches of dentistry and deals with the identification and treatment of dental pulp disorders.
When your teeth are affected by the caries that touch the pulp chamber, there is a need to remove the dental nerve and pulp. Keeping successfully and for as long as possible a affected tooth depends largely on the correction of the canal treatment.
Dental pulp is the soft tissue inside the tooth containing blood vessels and nerves. It nourishes and nourishes the tooth, but it is not involved in its functionality. Thus, through the loss of the pulp, the tooth can continue to play its role on the dental arch. However, the life of the tooth depends very much on the correctness of the endodontic (canal) treatment.
This specialty of dental medicine is the basis of restorative dentistry because it heals the tooth on the inside.
